Long before commercial detergents took over, soap was made with three simple things: rendered fat, lye, and water. It was a utilitarian process, but one that yielded incredibly nourishing results.
We started Tallow & Bloom because we were tired of looking at ingredient labels we couldn't pronounce. We wanted a product that our skin actually understood and recognized. By returning to the traditional method of using grass-fed beef tallow, we discovered a dense, luxurious lather that commercial bars simply cannot replicate.
Every single bar we produce is hand-poured, hand-cut, and cured on wooden racks for a minimum of six weeks. It's a slow process, but it's the only way we know how to do it.
